Next, click on the plus sign below the printer list. There will be two buttons at the top of the Printer Browser window that opens up next: Default Browser, and IP Printers. Select Default Browser and then choose a printer from the list. Your computer will then attempt to make a connection to the printer.

Or when it does, clicking on "continue" does nothing. This is getting very frustrating and it is a huge waste of time to keep on repeating all these steps. That didn't quite do it. I have the printer installed again, but I see no way to configue the wireless printing. I tried entering the printer's IP address under "location" from the system preferences menu, but that didn't work.
Step 2: Install the driver and set up the connection
I downloaded the driver from the site you suggested Apple , but now I don't seem to have the Setup Assistant at all and don't know how to add the wireless printer. Since this series of posts took place, has anyone got it worked out? I have the exact problem described.
Running OS I download the software from HP for the same printer. I install it. I get to the point where I am ready to use the Setup Assistant.
The assistant searches for the device endlessly. I cancel the Setup. I get a message that I have incompatible software and after finding no help from HP, I am out of luck.
I have now uninstalled the software I originally downloaded. I have two other HP printers: Deskjet D and Laserjet Could their drivers be incompatible with residing on my computer simultaneously with the LaserJet color MFP Mnw? I have the same printer at my office and have done the whole routine successfully. There is no other printer on my office computer although I think I remember the Epson software from my now defunct is still on the hard disk.
